Phoenix supports almost 800 people with a disability across metropolitan Adelaide and regional South Australia.
Supported employment through Phoenix is a great opportunity for people with a disability who:

So, how do I know if I'm eligible to work at Phoenix?
To get a job at Phoenix, you have to be eligible. This means you:
- Are receiving a Disability Support Pension from Centrelink OR
- Have been assessed by Centerlink as being eligible and referred to work in an ADE (Australia Disability Enterprise) for work and that Phoenix resources will meet your needs
- Independent in your daily life
- Over the age of sixteen (16)
- Are unlikely to put yourself or others at risk
- Motivated and keen to work as part of a team
- Must not display violent and aggressive behaviour
- Pass a confidential national police check prior to starting.
- If you do not have a Police Check we can help you get one. You’ll need to bring to your interview one of the following documents;
- Drivers License
- Birth Certificate (or extract)
- Passport
- Citizenship certificate
- A Tax File Number. If you do not have one, you can contact the Australian Taxation Office on 13 28 61 or ato.gov.au
So if i'm eligible what's the Recruitment Process
- Phone 08 8152 4200 or email employment@phoenixsociety.com.au to discuss you’re your options with a Recruitment Officer
- Bring to the meeting your completed application forms (which would have been sent to you) and have read the general Information about working at Phoenix
- Have an interview, complete the 'Entry Skills Assessment' and a 3 hour work trial
- Once your completed the above an employment commencement date will be set if suitable
- An Employee induction will be conducted when you start to help you familiarise yourself with working at Phoenix
- You are ready to start working at Phoenix!
Training and Reviews
All training is individualised and documented on such topics as:
- General Safety Awareness
- Forklift Safety Awareness
- Quality
- Health and Hygiene
- Manual and Material Handling
- Disability Services Standards
Wage assessments are conducted in accordance with the Phoenix Enterprise agreement and assessments are competency based and not productivity basis. At Phoenix we have 21 levels of pay up to full award wages - Wages are paid on top of the Disability Support Pension fortnightly.
